Vinha Grande Red Wine

Vinha Grande is a classic and intense red wine from the Douro, with a well-defined character that reflects all the richness and quality of the region in the production of the best blended wines. Vinha Grande is part of the Casa Ferreirinha range – the house with the greatest tradition of quality wines in the Douro and one of its most recognized names worldwide. It is vinified at the modern Quinta do Seixo, in Cima Corgo, and at Quinta da Lêda, in the Upper Douro, using state-of-the-art technology. After gentle pressing and destemming, the grapes are transferred to stainless steel tanks where alcoholic fermentation takes place with long macerations. During this period, gentle extractions are carried out using existing maceration systems – pumping over or robotic treading – with controlled temperature.
