Quinta da Romaneira Dona Clara Branco Winemaking:The grapes are hand-picked in the early morning hours and gently pressed. 30% of the wine ferments and ages in used French oak barrels, the remaining 70% ferments in stainless steel. Ageing: 6 months, 30% in used French oak barrels and 70% in stainless steel tanks. The wood adds complexity, structure and a subtle hint of spice, while the stainless steel preserves freshness, fruit and acidity. During this period, regular bâtonnage is carried out on the fine lees, which contributes to the texture and balance of the final blend.
