Pol Roger Sir Winston Churchill Vintage

Champagne Pol Roger created its Cuvée Prestige in homage to Sir Winston Churchill, taking into account the qualities he sought in his champagne: robustness, full-bodiedness and relative maturity. The exact composition is a closely guarded family secret, but it is undeniable that it would have the approval of the man to whom it is dedicated: "My tastes are simple, I am easily satisfied with the best". Pinot Noir predominates, providing structure, breadth and robustness, while Chardonnay contributes elegance, finesse and subtlety. Composed exclusively of grapes from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay Grand Cru vineyards that were already planted during Churchill's lifetime, the Cuvée Sir Winston Churchill is only produced in the best vintages and always released later than Pol Roger's other vintage champagnes, reflecting Churchill's appreciation for older wines.
