Maiden Lady Fernanda 2021

MENIN Maria Fernanda Tinto 2021 comes from the selection of micro-parcels from the 11 Hectares of Old Vines, with 54 identified grape varieties at MENIN DOURO ESTATES. The parcels face east and have schist soils, with altitudes ranging from 120m to 260m, combining concentration, freshness, and elegance.

After manual harvesting, the grapes are transported in 18kg capacity crates to avoid
damaging the integrity of the bunches. Once at the winery, the crates are unloaded onto a
sorting table for the first selection of the grapes. This was followed by destemming, berry-by-berry selection, and crushing, with the grapes then transported by gravity to wooden
and stainless steel vats. Alcoholic fermentation lasted approximately 10 days at
temperatures around 25ºC, after which the different components aged for 18 months in French oak barrels.
