Mater-Dôme White

Despite belonging to the Douro Superior, Mêda has its own character. It is a region between the Dão and the Douro, with characteristics from both. It has a transitional schist/granite soil in a high-altitude area that can reach 700m. The climate is wetter than in the general Douro Superior, with milder summers and colder winters. The grapes are destemmed and crushed directly into the press. Fermentation and partial aging take place in 700L barrels. Aging also occurs in cement tanks. Only 9000 bottles were produced.
