Chateau Roumieu Sauternes

Located 40 km south of Bordeaux, Sauternes is the most prestigious dessert wine appellation in Bordeaux. It produces magical and precious nectars. These wines are made from grapes grown in a terroir with ideal soils and microclimate. Château Roumieu has remained in the same family since the 18th century and, on numerous occasions during the 18th and 19th centuries, constituted the dowry of the family's women. Each generation has maintained a love for the terroir, respect for traditional winemaking methods, and a belief in the moral duty to pass this knowledge from generation to generation.
