Cartuxa Reserva Red Wine

Cartuxa red is a blend of Alicante Bouschet and Aragonez planted in the oldest vineyards of the Eugénio de Almeida Foundation. When the grapes are deemed perfectly ripe, they are carefully harvested and brought to the winery for destemming, soft crushing, and fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats. This is followed by a 26-day maceration period, followed by ageing in new French oak barrels for 15 months. The wine is bottle-aged for 18 months before release.
