Alvarinho Old Walls

Anselmo Mendes' Muros Antigos Alvarinho wine is made from Alvarinho grapes exclusively produced in Monção and Melgaço. The vineyards are located next to the river, at low altitude, and the soils are deep with a high content of rolled pebbles. The wine has complexity, vegetal character, minerality, and the characteristic bitterness of the Alvarinho grape. Vinification of Muros Antigos Alvarinho Wine: Total destemming. Short skin maceration. Medium clarification by cold settling. Fermentation at a constant speed between 14-22ºC. Minimum aging of 4 months on fine lees.
