Melgaço, the northernmost region of Portugal, is protected by a series of mountains that allow for an exemplary marriage between rainfall, temperature, and the number of hours of sunshine necessary for a slow and balanced maturation suitable for quality sparkling wine production. Winemaking of Soalheiro Bruto Rosé Sparkling Wine: The Touriga Nacional grapes, characterized by their low colour intensity in our region, together with the Alvarinho variety, form the base of this very light-coloured Soalheiro Bruto Rosé Sparkling Wine. The Touriga Nacional grape complements the Alvarinho grape by providing mouthfeel structure, giving elegance and persistence. The must resulting from this selection ferments at controlled temperatures, obtaining the base wine for sparkling wine. This wine undergoes a second fermentation in the bottle.
